The dress I most regret never buying.

I know I'm not shaped like Lily Allen. Cole. Whatever! But it looked so sweet on me and the fabric was gorgeous and stiff, so one felt completely armoured. It gave me that exact feeling of pleasure I got when I was a little girl and wearing my favourite clothes. Blue dungarees and red sweater, blue corduroy pinafore with green and blue ribbons, how I miss thee.

The only size was 14, which was too tight then, but wouldn't be too tight now. It was in the sale too. Sometimes I still trawl eBay for this garment...

i had a pretty serious conversation the other day with a friend of mine who has an 8 month old baby girl about why it is you can buy dresses with matching knickers for infants but not for fully-grown adult women. i'd love a frock with matching knickers.

(this only tangentially related to your post. also why are you googling footballers? is one sport fandom not stressful enough for you?)

Matching knickers would be so great! You'd have that feeling I associate with having matching underwear and also clean clothes - a sense of being at peace with the world.
