At one point, the commentators reported that Rafa shouted come on to himself in English, rather than vamos. "It's the first time he's ever done that," one mused. "It's usually 'vamos'."

The vamos v come on thing-- I hadn't really noticed, due to watching tennis often on poor quality live streams. I must say, the BBC commentators don't have that excuse. Hehe.

The most interesting thing is that best_of_five and I have seen Rogi say "vamos". It's pretty obviously "vamos" not "come on" because of the V at the start. My conclusion is that so much smex has made them osmote self-motivational phrases.

You'll be happy to know that today Rafa was talking on TV and said that it was an honour for him to play against Federer -Rafa defended him any time they commented about the bad patch Federer seemed to have ;)
