I wrote a tennis rps snippet yesterday: Changing light, Roger/Rafa, worksafe

***
I had a brilliant week off, roaming about the countryside with [livejournal.com profile] daegaer and Mr Lux. We took her to see a gibbet and a totem pole and I baked penis shaped bread and watched tennis until 3 am most nights. I know how to show my friends a good time, oh yes. [livejournal.com profile] puddingcat and [livejournal.com profile] toscas_kiss came over on Saturday and we took over the kitchen table with laptops and pizza. There was a lot of Weiss Kreuz talk and I intermittently tried to explain about the tennis thing but largely failed in eloquence, possibly due to the staying up till 3am.

[livejournal.com profile] puddingcat has had a pirate coat made, in blue brocade with dark blue inserts at the back that means it can be swilred about. It looks beautiful and is so heavy and well made that it feels like body armour. I love clothes like that. [livejournal.com profile] toscas_kiss has the world's best t-shirt. It says: Caution. May spontaneously combust.

Exhibit A: edible fertility symbol. It has some lopsided issues, I know. It was hard to get the testicles even.

Your bread looks very phallic indeed. For Lughnasadh?

I can't seem to read your story. ;_;

Oh, woe. It is locked to that community. Actually, I'll post it here too.

The bread was just because we are perverts, sadly. I wish we had higher motivations.

It has some lopsided issues, I know.

Sadly, that is what makes it so accurate. XD Only men in fanfic are made perfectly.

I can't judge the scale of your penis bread, but is it life size? Or larger then life?

I was sad about the 'forbidden' tennis story :-( Please do post it here too!

*laughs* Hurray for naughty baked goods! Of course, taking the second loaf as context, one can't help wondering what sad fate befell the first. Poor castrato bread... perhaps it is sweeter? XD

"Naughty Baked Goods". Interesting name for a shop, potentially.

I too raved in delirium over your snippet -- as you already know if you've stopped by f_s. The delirium has been such that I was inspired to draft a four-part serial devoted to actually attempting to answer the questions "what would make him want/need that communication now" and/or -- more equably and certainly simply -- what, for our boys, does "we are okay" actually mean in the concrete, if we could semi-freeze time for a day or so at this instant in their careening careers?

I have been aided by the Slash Deities in my quest (Rogi is actually staying in the Spanish OV; b_o_f has the link for any interested; *ohmahgawd boys just have the press conference already*) -- but I am quite confident it will NOT reach the heights of celebrated writing swooniness that have been witnessed here.

(And certainly not that of turning the raw into the fine art - I will confess it seems to have come out [heh] more for those relishing the florid semi-angsty more than the snap-crackly hardcore, but I believe in happy endings (*is eleven*) and hope there will be something there for everyone to enjoy.)

But I especially thought - since you receive somewhat schmoopy credit for inspiration in the Acknowledgements section - that you should at least have had fair warning when it comes out around this time tomorrow. So please feel free to stop by and peruse.

(Please don't hurt me though, as I am a slash-writing virgin.)

P.S. In the note you wrote, you will never know how right you are about the hair-tearing warp speed with which one upset can ruin your entire narrative. For, like, months. A topic certainly worth drinking over, and for an entirely different day, but I wanted to sincerely acknowledge the observation.

In my giddiness I have it slightly wrong - Rogi is staying offsite.

I don't think that obviates speculation about ramifications, though.
