The day today

Something woke me up at 4.30am and then I never went back to sleep. Holy crapola. I couldn't decide whether to have porridge or toast for breakfast so I had both: porridge at 6.30 and toast at 8am, which is a very hobbit-like way of eating. Two breakfasts! It didn't help and now I need some strong coffee and possibly a bun with icing on it.

I've done various nice easy type tasks so far at work: arranging a meeting, some nice relaxing filing, fiddling with the database, writing a fresh to do list, hitting myself accidentally in the glasses with my own fist. Everything is ticking over nicely, no drama, no boss around. It just means that the Large and Difficult task of the day is getting closer. Hrrmm. Maybe I'll take a long lunch and do the challenge on saiyuki_time.

mmmmm porridge, mmmm toast....yeah bun with icing! And hot coffee to wash it all down. sounds like an ideal brekkie to me! Yay for hobbit-ses eating habits. sometimes we need it!

Sometimes we do need it, that's my excuse. It did motivate me out of the house, in any case.

I'm much better now, only a chesty cough remaining.

...I missed the SPK prompt claims session, but though I would have loved to pick some up, there are some tough ones to fulfill.

But they upped the claims to four so there should be some wonderful fics to read come June!
