Oh wow. I'm going to echo a couple other commenters and say how much I enjoy the cat aspect of Gojyo's perspective and behavior in this. I love the nod to Hakkai's horribly inappropriate sense of humor — it's such an interesting and telling part of his character, and one that so few people can really manage well.
Fantastic details, like the smells of the other apartments, and the gorgeous descriptions, and how The black curve of his tail lashed across Hakkai's stomach and chest and curled around his side is totally reminiscent of youkai Hakkai's vines.
"I don't know if I wanted you to do that," Hakkai said, choked up like he had a hand round his throat. and of course the very end, nnngggh. God, you hit that just right.
