He was woken by a hand sliding down his thigh, a warm slow touch. Kenren blinked, drifting to consciousness. The room was still mostly dark, but he remembered going to bed. He remembered it with absolute clarity; the sake bottle falling to the floor and Tenpou pulling at his clothes. And everything that came after that.

Tenpou was sitting cross-legged in the twisted sheets. There was a book spread open in front of him, propped up on a fold, but he wasn't reading it; he was watching Kenren, and he was hard. Around his fingers was looped a length of thin glossy cord, which Kenren recognized as part of the curtain pull.

"Hey," he said. "What's that for? Something kinky?"

Tenpou smiled and lay down next to him, stretching out along his side. He propped his head on one hand and trailed the end of the cord down between Kenren's nipples. It left a faint cool path across his skin.

"String is very useful. For attachments. To make knots for remembrance. Even finding one's way through a maze."

"Very deep."

Kenren touched Tenpou’s thick black hair, then cupped his cheek and kissed him. Tenpou made a soft sound and shifted closer. He pressed close, rubbing his erection hard against Kenren's thigh.

"You have squadron training in half an hour," Tenpou said.

"…Oh."

"But I told your lieutenant that you'd broken your ankle."

"What? And when I show up with it miraculously healed? Are you trying to get me into trouble?"

Tenpou smiled and dragged the cord down over his stomach, then lower, trailing as delicately as his tongue had done the night before. He wound a loop of it around the base of Kenren's cock, then tugged, very gently.

"You're already in trouble, my dear General," Tenpou whispered, and kissed him.
