Nearly a frog

This was taken about two weeks ago, so the tadpoles are probably all frogged up by now, and are scrambling about in the wildlife area if they're got any sense.

If you look closely, you can see other tadpoles hiding in the weeds. They have this habit of diving down when they see anything coming, but mostly they just bury their heads in the weed and leave their tails sticking out. Not really very good at hiding yet.

Hurray for the soon-to-be froglets! Of all the things one might find swimming around in a pond, those are some of the cutest.

I am curious though, do you just happen to have a pond in your back yard or do you live in some marshy area where ambient froglets are a seasonal thing? Either way, it's always fun seeing the tadpole and froglet pictures. XD

I have a pond in the back garden. It's not huge - about 7 feet long and 2-3 feet wide, but plenty big enough to grow a huge number of frogs, apparently!
