Cautiously exercising again. I still have aches, so am trying not to do too much.

Exercise bike: 3 miles
Real bike: 7 miles (to Mapledurham and back)

Total 105.5 miles: Oh noes!! I'm on the Barrow Downs

Hello! Um, I wondered if it would be alright to friend you, and decided to ask first. I came for the Saiyuki fic, but I found your non-Saiyuki posts to be really funny and interesting as well. :D I'm Elb, 18, from Brum, and thank you for writing such brilliant Saiyuki fic! :D

And well done on all the exercise! :D I have a few friends doing the Eowyn Challenge as well. I did DofE, which was enough to put me off such things for a long time.

A brummie! I work in Brum and used to live here too, a few years ago - it's a great place.

What's DofE, if I may ask? The Eowyn challenge is fun and yet also sort of daunting. I've done about a fifth of it so far.

It is a great place - I've only really begun to appreciate it in the past few years. I like that it's very connected - transport is easy if not always good, if you get my meaning. :)

The Duke of Edinburgh Award - Bronze, Silver, Gold - You have to do Skills, Sports, Community Service and an Expedition (Silver - 50 km, 3 days, 2 night camping). Looks great ona UCAS form, but I nearly died on the Silver Expedition (or at least it felt like that!), so I didn't bother doing Gold. :p

Good luck with the rest of the Eowyn Challenge! I walk to and from the bus and train station, but that's really about it. :)
