Behind the times

I got a wireless internet router from Orange on Thursday, so the laptop is now wireless, meaning I can lounge around anywhere in the house or garden and still have the beloved internets. I wonder if this will be bad for productivity? Hmm. Also, I know am hopelessly behind the times.

My desktop pc is 8 years old but still works fine, apart from the six months where it made a mee-maw sound every time I switched it on, and this morning I fitted it with a wireless networking card so that it links up to the router, so that it too is now all wireless and shiny. I've put all the extremely annoying cables away for good. Hopefully. Success!

Wireless is the best invention ever. I got it about a year and a half ago and I don't know how I lived without it. So fast and convenient!

I finally bought all the wireless stuff a fortnight ago. Maybe even longer. Watching the baby gnawing on the cables was the final impetus. Do you think I've hooked it up though? Not enough time, I say, though I seem to have time to type this comment, now, don't I? I have been sick with a rotten flu, a cough and then a head cold for the last month. My hearing echoes weirdly becuase my ears are all blocked up. Hopefully that will pass as my excuse for now.

whoo hoo! I got motivated after typing this and now I'm wireless! yay! Just have to install wireless cards in all the other computers and undo a whole heap of cables and...
