Saiyuki recs

Back in sunny Reading and facing up to the laundry and shopping. Siiiigh groan wail.

But, ignoring all that boring stuff, I have been catching up on fic (and will catch up on comments too, honest!). Yeah yeah, I remember moaning about how there was no Saiyuki fic about...

Some things I've enjoyed recently:

rheasilvia's Supernatural/Saiyuki crossover: Wildlife: Five worlds the Winchesters never visited. Sylvia has written about Gojyo's kappa heritage before (Distant Relations) and I loved it then too. I can't seem to get enough of it. Gojyo, friendly lakes and the Winchesters. Fabulousness.

Blame the Moon by Vinsu , Nii/Koumyou, worksafe, character death. I don't think I have ever read a Nii/Koumyou AU before. Everything in this seems to chime perfectly with canon and the writing has almost a folk story quality to it.

The Garden by mistressrenet, Hakkai/Gojyo, worksafe. I founhd this almost unbearably poignant. mistressrenet will keep on doing this to me. She has written quite a few things now about Hakkai and Gojyo and the passage of time and getting older, and I love them all. *weeps into my teacup*

Compound by devikun, Hakkai/Gojyo, rilly not at all worksafe. Hot, intense sex like wot devikun does so very well. I always love that her smut is never just smut; it's always layered onto all the things they don't say.

Koumyou/Ukoku by rhosyn_du. Five drabbles, sharp and with a little joke at the end that manages to be both wicked and kind of sad.
