I do like the occasional bit of aggressive submission as well. Gojyo, I feel, would be quite good at this as long as he keeps his eye on the prize (driving Sanzo and/or Hakkai insane), and Hakkai, well, Hakkai gives classes on it.
Mmm, indeed. Or doing that thing where you irritate someone by agreeing with them and going along with what they say, being obedient and helpful until they go insane with paranoia and lose it utterly.
Gojyo was a sibling. He knows the thousand and one ways to wind someone up without ever doing anything technically wrong. He knows the secret of the Smile, the "If you say so," the power of remembering what you sibling said and then helpfully, cheerfully, reminding them of it.
Arrgh, late reply, but I wanted to say yes, of course. I never actually thought that about Gojyo, but it makes sense. Although with Jien, I can imagine that he had a desperately clingy secret hero worship thing going on too. Gah. Kid!Gojyo never fails to make me wibble.
