Fuck a duck. I am so tired. Went to bed last night in fairly good time but it's the sleeping bit that's hard, as usual. I'm using a bag of M&S's mint assortment as sort of sanity prop. The butter mints are particularly good.

In other news, I said to emungere that I would write a story today about Hakkai laughing creepily in his sleep, but it's not looking good. I'm half crazed on lack of sleep and a sudden intake of boiled sweets. But I want that story. Won't someone else write it for me? *attempts to look appealing*

Also, thanks to everyone who contributed to the post of distracting and random stuff last week - it hugely brightened my day.

Ahhhh!! That is brilliant, and for me! Thank you. I think Goku's expression is about the most adorable thing I have ever seen, and of course Hakkai gets the bed. He looks so happy, by which I mean frightening.

The most irritating thing about this situation, Sanzo decided, face buried in his pillow, wasn’t that Hakkai’s unholy luck had landed him the bed or Hakkai’s manical giggles as he snuggled deeper into the covers or even the kappa’s moronic asides (“who do you think he’s dreaming about killing now?”).

No, was really irritating him was the way Goku curled in a ball under the covers, quivering with (anticipation? anxiexty? -something).

The monkey’s little feet dug into Sanzo’s side.

Hakkai was never getting the bed again, Sanzo decided. He paid the bills and he should sleep where he pleased. Alone.

Eeee! That is completely adorable. Oh, how I love Gojyo's moronic asides - Hakkai is dreaming exactly that, I am sure.

I am totally sure that Sanzo really doesn't ever get as much say in things as he thinks he does. :D

I love writing Goyjo for just that reason- he's always there to say what he shouldn't or what I'm thinking.

I found the bubblewrap~so I'm taking your package to PO in about an hour. If I'd thought about it, I'd have added some chocolates. :) Sounds like a long week-hope it gets better soon. I can't write the Hakkai story, but I'd love to read it, too.

My favorite is dark chocolate, the darker the better. But I also like flavored chocolates, with raspberries, or nuts, or orange. It's all good, really. Mmmm, chocolate.

Isn't insomnia the damndest thing? Most nights I'm so tired I could cry but I often still lie awake for 3 or 4 hours. I'd definitely fuck a duck if I thought it would help but sadly I have no great remedies. Often I Mary-Sue myself into a mental story - that helps as long as I don't let the boys do anything too racy.

And the bishies often have minds of their own.

Haven't written any drabbles in a long time, but perhaps this will entertain briefly.

Sanzo peered through his lashes, unsure of the strange sound that had awakened him. He carefully grasped the stock of his revolver and surveyed the small room, brightly lit by moonlight.

Goku slept soundly, entangled in blankets by his side. Gojyo lounged against the wall, unlit cigarette forgotten as he stared at the single bed across the room.

The small dragon crouched on its headboard peered down at the sleeping occupant. Hakkai's eyelids fluttered. His hands flexed toward each other, as if trying to grasp balls of ki, while another eerie, disturbing laugh forced its way from the back of his throat through a rictus of a smile.

"Battle?" whispered Gojyo.

"Who cares? Get over there and quiet him down before Goku wakes up; we're trying to sleep," snarled the irritated monk, returning his weapon to wherever he kept it hidden and rolling over in a huff.

Gojyo grinned, dropping the cigarette. "Why not," he replied, shedding his shirt as he moved lazily toward the bed. "But I don't guarantee that you'll get any more sleep tonight."

That is fab! I love Hakkai's big scary eyes and Sanzo's expression. Poor man.
