I opened my newly arrived copy of the Connections anthology to see my story right at the front. I think I am very pleased about this. Unless, you know, the first one is traditionally the one no one reads.

In any case, it is clearly something of a mission statement by Iris Print because that story is utterly lewd and kind of romantic all at the same time.

Yay! Congratulations. And the first story is pretty much guaranteed to be the most read of all of them (I'm pretty sure it isn't just me who is usually anal about beginning at the beginning), so extra congrats!

Thank you!

It is good ot hea that, because I was going by my own behaviour-- I am one of those types who cannot seem to start at the beginning of short story books, but has to dip into the middle.

I always figure they put the first story first for a reason - it is likely to be one of the strongest. After I've read it, I tend to skip about randomly. If it were my story, I'd be very flattered that it got to open the book.
