Kefalonia was so beautiful. I am in love with it; the sea, the mountains, the peculiar scent of baked earth and baked vegetation. There will be pictures at some point soon.

We had a beach nearly all to ourselves and there were all kinds of lizards and fish and huge butterflies and giant bees! There were also giant wasps, but they were very well behaved. There was also an earthquake that measured 5.6 on the Richter scale! That was exciting.

We got back yesterday afternoon and Britain seemed very grey and mundane by comparison. Oh, the angst of returning from holidays. Stiill, I got in to work this morning to find that a horrible meeting had been cancelled, so that was good.

Saiyuki Reload 4 arrived while I was away, and I read it last night. As usual when the Tokyopop translation comes out, I noticed lots of things I hadn't quite realised before, but will have to read it again to remember exactly what they are. Hazel's southern accent is fantastically enjoyable. My copy of Project Blue Rose by [livejournal.com profile] telophase and [livejournal.com profile] rachemanija also arrived. Thank you! I'm looking forward to reading it.

So, I am trying to catch up with you all - thanks for the links in my last post, and do feel free to point me to things you've written this last week.

Yay, you're back! The wasps sound kind of scary.

Hiii!

The wasps were actually hornets omg. Horrific really, but they completely ignored us. The earthquake was scarier though, even though I was in bed at the time and nothing fell over.

Hiii! *waves*

I felt a tiny tremor before, but nothing very dramatic. I don't like it when the ground gets out of control!
