The latest chapter is up on radiofreebanri and actually I was quite terrified to read it because-- painful. But. Holy guh.



On the last panel, here, where Hakkai is about to remove his limiters, apparently he is saying something like:

"That time, I couldn't do anything. This time...
If I run rampant, please stop me, Gojyo."

!

I think I have to go and lie down. With a cold flannel on my head.

That is a very good point.

Gah, but Minekura is just such a Goddess. It's the absolute most gut-wrenching, perfect way to do the youkai-Hakkai reveal I can think of. Not to mention Sanzo v. Ukoku, possibly!! I die!

She is awesome. For Hakkai to have to change to fight Goku is just perfect, in a very painful way. Everything they are to each other is just wiped away by their demon selves, their 'true' selves if you like, and that hurts so very much.

It surely must be Sanzo v Ukoku in the next chapter - in fact, I love the way she has these twin jaw dropping situations going on that I both desperately want to see.

It seems to be direct foreshadowing. In one panel Hakkai thinks back to that time in the desert, and it's clear that he's asking of Gojyo what Goku asked of him. It always struck me that back then Hakkai could've taken off his limiters to stop Seiten Tasei, but he chose not to, or didn't even consider it as an option. Things seems altogether more desperate now, as Seiten Tasei is SO MUCH stronger, and there is Hazel to contend with too.

Gah. Very upsetting.

Didn't buy this month's ZS, but Hakkai says something to the effect that he didn't try to stop Gokuu before because he was too far away. Not that that makes much sense at all, but hey, if he can lose his eye twice, I'm willing to let that one go too;-)

That's just *.* I can wait to see the complete translation for this...

Things are really heating up. Seiten Taisen is more bad ass than ever, Sanzo is off chasing after Ukoku, and since him and Kanzeon were the only people that have sucessfully stopped Goku, I really don't see how even youkai Hakkai will do it.

I'm getting really anxious to see what will happen now (especially to poor Gojyo!), and since I expect next chapter to center on Sanzo, the Goku x Hakkai face-off will probably start in two months... Oo that's too long!

I think youkai Hakkai would be able to hold up stregth wise against Goku for a little while, but not for very long. However, Hakkai is older, wiser and possibly more cunning and those advantages might well work in his favour.

Hmm... yeah, you're right. He was able to hold Goku down for a few seconds while still in his human form back in the desert chapter.
I would hate to see something bad happening to Hakkai. Gojyo would be devastated. And then I would be devastated...
