[livejournal.com profile] cygny: Top 5 Gay Stories for Girls?

I am hopeless at picking favourite stories, because I have so many. Off the top of my head, here's a multi-fannish collection of stories I love:

1. The Wheel by [livejournal.com profile] new_kate (Saiyuki)
2. Chicago's Most Wanted by Cesperanza (Due South)
3. Bright with His Splendour by [livejournal.com profile] daegaer (Good Omens)
4. Ghosts by Torch (X-files)
5. By Any Other Name by Kay Reynolds (From Eroica with Love)

[livejournal.com profile] trensaddiction: Top five words you think fanfiction would be better off without?

1. man-yoghurt
2. orbs
3. Mage
4. silken (just to be on the safe side)
5. Ebon

[livejournal.com profile] toscas_kiss: 5 famous people who are now dead you'd like to invite to dinner.

1. Oscar Wilde - obviously
2. Alexander the Great
3. Buddha
4. Elizabeth 1
5. Boudicca

Things might get messy over the after dinner mints…

[livejournal.com profile] cmda_alexanda: The top five moments in Sha Gojyo's life?

1. Taking Gonou home
2. Taking Hakkai home
3. Taking Hakkai. (So, I know that was cheap:)
4. Deciding not to bother going back to Heaven
5. Going home

[livejournal.com profile] emungere: Top 5 fictional characters who should not crossdress.

I had to think long and hard about this-- mmmm, yes.

1. Aziraphale, although Crowley should be encouraged
2. Columbo
3. Inspector Morse (is it something to do with greying raincoats>)
4. … um
5. … ... ...

[livejournal.com profile] mistressrenet: Top five stories you wish you'd written.

I'm taking this to mean - things I haven’t written yet, rather than other people's stories I wish I'd written because mostly I'm always just too pleased that other people wrote them to want to do it myself.

1. The Famous Five Over The Hill - where they are all embittered and middle aged.
2. The Saiyuki Gaiden Viking AU where they all get stuck in Valhalla (no- sorry, I just made that one up. But it could be good…)
3. The Good Omens story where Crowley meets Sherlock Holmes (actually this one is more in the 'stories I wish I'd finished' category)
4. Sanzo in Love - which could almost be said to be in progress, although I haven't done more than think very hard about it
5. The long, multi part stories I always want to write in every fandom I love but never seem to get round to.

[livejournal.com profile] tboy: Five favourite melamine pieces

1. Turqoise Gaydon 960s teacups with pointy handles and oval saucers
2. Turquoise and white butter dish, just like wot I sent tboy
3. 24 piece 1970s complete dinner service in doom-laden chocolate brown
4. Vintage melaware curvy sugar bowls in red and yellow and black
5. Olive green Rosti milk jug with no handle, just a tall curvy body

[livejournal.com profile] tokagemusume wanted: five first sentences for stories that don't exist but wouldn't it be great if they did?

I have grave doubts that I could think of anything that didn’t already exist in one form or another, so maybe I'll ask you to make them up instead.

I must say, I am very, very grateful I have yet to come across the words "man-yoghurt" in a fic. Oh dear. (Though I admit I'm now tempted to design a 'first sentence' that uses it . . . mostly because I am evil.)

Please restore my faith in humanity by telling me you have never actually seen "man-yoghurt" used in a sentence.

Columbo! Heee. Yes, I completely agree. No crossdressing for Columbo.

1. Aziraphale, although Crowley should be encouraged

That gives me images of Aziraphale crossdressing like the artist that worn the Turner Prize last timearound. The one who painted on pots...

. . . man-yoghurt.

I will be avoiding the dairy section of the grocery store for a while, I think.

2. orbs That just made my day. I loathe that word with a mad, fiery passion, and it’s lovely to know I’m not alone in that.

I shall set your mind at rest - I've never seen it used in anger, only as joke. Thank god.

Yeah, I'll be avoiding the Yoplait for a while, I think.

Saiyuki + Valhalla = somebody please keep Nii the hell away from Loki. Or maybe he IS Loki. And... damn, I'm interested in this. XD; (Have been reading excerpts from The Poetic Edda, which might contribute somewhat.)

Little known fact: until tonight I often used to grab a cup of yogurt from the 'fridge before sitting down for my evening scroll through lj. *stares in abject horror at the remainder of her previously innocuous peach yoplait* So. At least granola is still safe? *laughs*

Beyond that, I have to cheer your selection of orbs as a word to eliminate from the collective fan vocabulary (while clutching to silken because I'm tactile and it's... well... silky). =)

I think I could have lived a complete and happy life without ever hearing the term "man-yoghurt." Especially since the "h" spelling makes it look even more disgusting.

Whatever did happen to that Crowley/Sherlock story? Did you continue it beyond what I last read? Too bad you seem to have stopped writing on it :(

Orb/s is impossible to use with a straight face any more, unless, you know, you're actually talking about an orb.

Just to be on the safe side, I think, to guard from silken locks or skin. Silk and silky are still okay, I think, but best to ration the use. XD

Hee! Maybe he is. It occurs to me that they'd have more fun in Valhalla than in their Heaven. Well, if you want to pick it up and run with it feel free, as I'm too busy right now to even think about it.

Ooops, sorry about the Yoplait. *g* The granola is safe--- for now!

I think you're allowed silky, but not silken. Silken seems far worse, somehow, and I'm not sure why.

I have to live with this term, so I don't see why others should be allowed to continue in their blissful ignorance. :D

Aww, I know. I didn't do any more after that. I should pick it up again and just get on with it.

It is because silken is a category of tofu, and I don't think there are many things anyone wants described as being like tofu...

(On the subject of orbs, I once saw "blue baubles" in a fanfic.)

'His skin was silken, like tofu... '

Ew. Also, the image of someone having blue baubles for eyes is making me snigger far too much.

Gaaah, I couldn't either. There's far too much I need to do here, too. XD; But you ought to file it away... you never know when ideas like that can come in handy for a challenge or something.
