New laptop joy
Nov. 30th, 2005 06:12 pmI got a result on the laptop. They gave me a £900 Sony Vaio to replace my £700 own brand machine. However, not to sound like my diamond shoes are pinching me, as
gloria1 would put it, I loved my old one because it was very small indeed and this one is a little bit bigger than I wanted.
I have only looked at it so far. It's pretty and silvery and very slim. I suppose I should try making it go.
I have no idea how you're supposed to pronounce Vaio - I'm guessing it's something like Vi-Oh, but Sony might have other ideas. eta rant: Like the Ford Ka, which I always hated saying then found out years later was it was supposed to be said KayAy anyway.

Also, will be emailing you about travel shortly. When I have controlled the urge to leap across the Irish Sea right now and strangle my brother. Will be explaining all and flinging self on your mercy . . .

Date: 2005-11-30 10:08 pm (UTC)First thoughts on unpacking it were “Ooh. Shiny.” rapidly followed by “Oh! Fingerprints.” and then “&*^%ing XP. Where have they put [insert feature of your choice here]”
We are now inseparable.
