Sanzo and stuff

louiseluxOf the 48 people who voted in the 'Is Sanzo a virgin?' poll, 77% said yes and 23% said no, and this despite fandom's best efforts to get him laid.
In the manga sometimes you can see he has these moments of cutting right to the heart of the matter, often in a quite devastating way. But then he also says he's tends to repress things that piss him off, and it's canon that he hates being touched by anyone (although Gojyo and Goku still do it)-- there's lots of examples, but I just remembered the man in vol 5, who I think is the only person to come on to Sanzo (if you don't count Gojyo!) in the whole manga, and he got a gun in the face for even suggesting it, an echo of the first time Sanzo killed anyone.
I don't think he thinks about sex much, for whatever reason-- there are plenty of other things to think about that he might consider more important, like keeping his adopted monkey sane, not to mention Gojyo and Hakkai. And fighing lots everyday. And saving the world.
In other news, there's Batman/Saiyuki 3 here, for anyone who missed it yesterday.

thez did some bits of translation of Saiyuubito (which I still have not got round to getting - gah). When asked about who has annoying habits, it turns out Hakkai laughs evilly in the middle of the night, and sometimes sleeps with his eyes open, which has been making me giggle ever since I read it.
Sanzo: "On those occasions when your eyes are facing me and you start laughing, it's terrifying."
Sigh, fun over. I need to go and do more work, and I need more tea.
