Pics and Yellow

Yesterday I seemed to mostly buy green things:

I got this from H&M, although the angle makes it look like an enormous green hair-cabbage it's actually not quite so large, but I love the colour, and eee! cabbage. It took me ages to get my head in the centre of this shot.

More green! This is from Mikey, a chain that mostly sells all incredibly shiny diamante jewellery. This is one of their more understated items and my god it leads the eye. I need to get special clothes to go with it. Actually, I should've polished it before I took the photo.

I also bought Yellow, a yaoi title from DMP. It's very entertaining and with good art - good looking men, not the most dynamic pages I've ever seen but some beautifully done kisses and moments that really give a sense of intimacy. It's like Starsky and Hutch, only Hutch is gay. And wants his partner, who maintains that he's 100 percent hetero, although you wouldn't guess it from all the groping and kissing that goes on, and he's not the usual super-uke sixteen year old fodder but, you know, manly. I like it - I'll definitely keep a look out for vol 2.

Yay! I've never read FAKE. Is it good? I've only seen the first vol of Yellow up til now, but I hear there's two more out. It's so very silly, but so cute and the art is just *guh* nice, especially the physical stuf.

ahahahahahaa. YELLOW. dude, there is this whole story about makoto tateno and specifically my once totally pure love for her--but it is now so completely sordid because she did yellow. (i'm too amused and afraid to buy the english editions, because she announced their licensing about a month after i had them in japanese, but yeah. XD)
