Saiyuki recs

Some reading wot I have been doing this week. I'm honestly confused about what sort of ratings to use these days, so will stick with the ones I most understand for now. All Saiyuki.

Endless Rain - translation by MJJ of a doujinshi . R, Hakkai/Gojyo. Oddly laid out, very nice to read.

Brotherhood by MJJ. Kougaiji/Dokugakuji, NC17. An emotional whammy served up with amazing detail and atmosphere.

Nice Boys by harukami, G, Hakkai/Gojyo. Sweet and funny. The local girls discuss Gojyo's new girlfriend Hakkai.

Untitled by beatgeek, gen, Hakkai and Gojyo. An odd little story about knitting that I loved for this exchange:

"My mom says I got to wear a sweater or I'll catch cold."

"Funny, that's exactly what my mom said."

"Which one is your mom?"

"The guy in the glasses."

Possessive by kintail. NC 17, Hakkai/Gojyo/Jeep. I'm not so much with the Jeep sex. *whistles innocently* I'm more taken with the idea that Hakkai is so damn kinky.

In other news, I have two days off which is great, but am feeling crummy with a vaguely upset stomach and a sore throat. Still, the hot round yellow thing is in the sky again and there is peppermint tea and the plate-sized pink poppies are flowering the garden so it's not all bad.

Hope you'll not come down with a cold, like I have last week. And round yellow thing? Over here it's been the fluffy grey things that cry a lot. And I tell you, they cried since yesterday lunchtime and I wish someone would comfort them because I prefer the round yellow thing as well, especially since it's been quite absent this spring so far...

I'd found and been amazed by other fics by MJJ before (it was a concept in her "Gonou (http://home.eol.ca/~basara/saiyuuki/gonou.htm)" that started me on "On the Nature of Dragons and Kami" and my Goujun/Tenpou obsession), but somehow I'd managed to completely miss that page of Yaoi and Adult stuff. Agh!

Wow. That Kou/Doku is incredible, and so vivid, surprises me while at the same time making me declare "yes, that's right! exactly! it's like that!" and like the very best fics, makes me think about the whole series differently and gives it all much more depth.
