Saiyuki 8

Thank you once more Nostalgia and Comics in Brum for being the only people to have up to the minute shelf-stocking. I finally have Saiyuki vol 8 after a week of pining...  I knew it was out there somewhere. Yay! and

Hakkai and Gojyo are in love. Okay, I knew that already, but really. All the stuff with the ashtray and the looking and Gyokumen and her score of 85  *snerk*

I loved the arguing and Gojyo with stubble and Sanzo's 'you pathetic little tart!'  The bit at the end where Sanzo crawls across the floor while Gojyo watched has always made me shiver - it's such a creepy, powerful thing. I loved Gojyo's 'Please' at the end of that scene, where it's not clear what he's asking for or who he's saying it to. Just-- guh.

*slinks off back to work*

Ha! I missed that. See, now if she'd just devote her evil powers to slash, the world would be a much better place. And with Ni on the job...actually I'm sort of afraid to think what would happen if Ni was a slasher. But I bet there would be some fairly improbable pairings.

Now I want Jeep/Hakkai as written by Ni. I bet he'd write Jeep as a demanding, fiesty lover. Ni/Bunny is, scarily, a bit too easy to imagine, what with that floppy soft body...

Houtou castle was deserted when they finally got there.

'Look, here are Ni's papers,' Hakkai said. 'There might be important information here.' He flipped open the leather folder marked Sanzo-Iikkou.

'"Dragon Love, by Ni Jianyi"' read Hakkai, aloud. '"Jeep's door gaped open invitingly and the tall, green-eyed youkai slid his lithe form into the firm, taught leather of Jeep's driving seat. "Are you ready to go?" Cho Hakkai said, stroking Jeep's trembling gear stick. He wasn't prepared to take no for an answer, and so with a cruel flick of his powerful fingers he fired up Jeep's engine and thrust down the accelerator pedal to the floor, making Jeep squeal. Vibrations from his throbbing engine shuddered through them both. "Let's ride," Hakkai hissed."'

Hakkai stopped. 'Oh.'

The others stood silent. Gojyo was biting his lips together, his eyes fixed on the floor. Sanzo had hidden his face behind his fan and his shoulders were shaking.

'This man clearly needs to die.' Hakkai said in firm tones.

The others nodded solemnly.

'Good story. So, what happens next?' said Goku.

Jeep bit him.
