I got new shoes!  They're turquoise leather, for those not bothing to click.  Turquoise!  It's a departure for me, I can say. But this year my style plan was to wear lots of blue and green, so it's working already.

Tomorrow I'm off to Lancaster for a morning meeting, yes from Reading, because I am insane.  But I have the work laptop with me, so I can get some serious work drabble writing done on the journey there and back. But just-- I must remember to delete them before I give it back. Although 'Who the hell's this Koumyou Sanzo?' would be a funny scenario. Briefly.

Season two of Angel is great. I haven't been doing much else with my evenings this week other than watching it. Hasn't Wesley got a lovely delicate looking neck, or is that just my inner neck perv coming out. I loved Drusilla's entry, so incredibly creepy, and that we get to see Anne again. Yay for continuity.

But I still haven't had a chance to watch the last few episodes of X. I think I'm withholding from the pleasure because it's nearly finished - does it go on for more than 16 eps?

X! Did I only give you up to ep 16? I'm missing a vital few episodes (from 18-20, I think), then there are a few more. I must copy what I have and send it along!

Are you? I thought I sent you the whole show!

You did! There was an unfortunate disc malfunction when the friend who was copying it for me (I didn't have copying capabilities at that time for some now forgotten reason) picked the disc with those eps on it apart. (I had, of course, not seen it). He can't explain why, it was just one of those things. (Yeah, one of those things where you vandalise someone else's stuff. Grr).

Oh no, that's awful. >< I didn't keep a fansub copy, or I'd send a replacement. Hm... somehow I doubt the Irish video rental shops are as full of anime as those in the US. Those three episodes are broken across two discs in the American release, making it more than a bit expensive to pick them up. Gah. If you want, I can ask around and see if anyone still has copies on CD.

Oh, if you could find the episodes on cd I'd be so grateful! (I'm still boggled at the original disc being destroyed. I mean, WTF?) I've checked and the missing episodes are 18, 19, 20. Is there more than 1 OVA? I've got OVA1.

I'm boggling at the bizarre disc malfunction too - I mean, how can that happen? Life's so unfair!

Ah, so there is more of the incredible leaping people- hurray! That would be extremely marvellous. Thank you:D

It's 24 episodes long, but I more or less consider 16 the ending because it's the last episode devoted to my favorite characters. (They get much more in the manga, else I'd strangle some poor soul. ^____^)

Ooh- I won't ask who your favourite charactes are, but I might be able guess from your icon;-)

Is the manga worth getting?

*laughs* I think X is worth getting into in the same way Weiss is--for the fanworks that make a mediocre series unforgettable. I'd recommend the manga because it significantly expands upon the anime, and much of said fanwork uses that expansion as a basis.

Seishirou and Subaru, of course. It's "OMG Their Love is So Mindfucked," and I'm a sucker for that sort of thing. XD

The shoes are cute! I like your style plan--I'd never thought of anything like that. Does the plan change every year? Could I persuade you to elaborate on your style philosophy?

Well, style philosophy might be a bit too grand a name for it;-) I pick a colour I like that's in all the shops and try and buy various bits of it that I can wear together, like some green tshirts and a blue cardigan or trousers or something. It won't usually be very much. This year is easy because there are so many gorgeous shades of blue and green. Last year I liked brown and maroon and red and got 2 tshirts, 2 jumpers a coat and shoes in a selection of those colours and with lots of boring black that was enough to perk up my wardrobe. I always making sure that I have some shoes in my new favourite colour/s, because I think (and this sounds ridiculously airheady I know) shoes are a really good way to update your look. For example, I wear a lot of black as a base colour, but if I have the blue shoes to brighten my outfit up I'll feel all exciting and modern.

I think that's it, really: buy exciting shoes! XD

Have a good day! I'm off to Lancaster next Thursday. Obviously the place to be this spring, :)

Thanks:) Lancaster is looking very pretty, albeit slightly damp and grey. The day was knackering but my meeting was great and there are charity shops galore, even one on campus!
