The End of Buffy

Well, there went the last unwatched episode of Buffy that I'll ever see.
I liked the final scenes. It felt like a proper end. There was a big empty road, a yellow bus, sunshine and a fucking enormous crater where the Hellmouth used to be, although there's another one in Cleveland - a very beautiful line from Giles, on a par with 'ohhh, jaffa cakes!'. And they contrived to make Buffy not alone anymore. But I hope all those baby slayers get properly trained and don't use their powers for evil.
I loved the dungeons and dragons moment and Giles as a dwarf with all the mystical powers of a doily and it was heartwarming to see the old Scooby gang back in action with a ligt touch rather than lots of angst. They were like their old selves. I don't know - this season seemed full of false starts and endings somehow - none of what I felt to be the big plot points really felt satisfying. There was some of that still going on - who was the guardian woman again? Angel popping up for 5 minutes and leaving? Didn't work for me.
Sex montage!
Loved the final scene with the Sunnydale sign falling into the crater. Goddess Willow and the tongue piercing joke. Spike's amulet o'doom was only slightly ridiculous - all right, a lot but he needed redemption and his final dusting was-- actually quite painful. Faith and Robin Wood made me happy. Anya's death hurt very much.
Fuuuuck. The End of Buffy.
