Finally I am seeing season seven of Buffy. I'm about halfway through and am thinking that Conversations with Dead People is one of the creepiest things I've seen in a long time. Also, in hindsight, it's clear to me that some Big Bads are incredibly tedious and I'm rooting for them not to make an appearance, seeing as how so many old plots are being revisited or touched on. I dearly hope Adam doesn't show up again. I'm quite enjoying Andrew, though.

Ah, crap. I've failed to go to bed early again!

No? Okay - push Kougaiji off a cliff because it wouldn't kill him anyway, shag Yaone because anyone who dresses like that has got to have a serious wild side, marry Doku so he could protect me from Kougaiji, who's angry at me for pushing him over a cliff.

I think they've both got that 'tempestous scowling beauty' thing going on. Sanzo *is* incredibly pretty though. I've been reading my new copy of vol 7 and there are some pages where he's brain-meltingly gorgeous, making it plain to see why Gojyo can't resist flirting with him.

Their interaction in 7 makes me laugh so hard. And Sanzo's whole "FUCK NO I'M NOT WORRIED ABOUT ANYTHING I'M JUST UNREASONABLY PISSED OFF AT EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE" is great too.

There are some truly wondrous snarky moments between them. I wonder why Sanzo and Gojyo wind each other up so much? I've always thought there's a really strong slashy vibe between them. Gojyo hates Sanzo so much cause he can't deal with finding this stuck-up priest guy attractive. Sanzo can't stand Gojyo because Gojyo invades his space and touches him and he hates to admit he likes it. That whole part where Gojyo rescues Sanzo from the cliff, followed by the post-coital cigarette, I think has to be in my list of top ten favourite scenes.

Damn, I need a 'scowling tempestous beauty' Sanzo icon so bad.

Oh, huge slashy vibe. But I think a lot of it is that they just know each other-- they've got just enough in common, I think, that they rarely surprise each other, and they know just how to push each other's buttons. Like that bit right in volume 3 where Sanzo sneaks out to fight Rikudo and Gojyo tells him to use the damn window already. XD

I love that part with the squabbling and the cliff. Love it.
