My work today is taking me deep into oven glove manufacturing territory! You can't say that Brum doesn't have diverse industries.

Distract me a little, please. Here's a meme from [livejournal.com profile] lexin

If you read this, even if I don't speak to you often, please post a memory of me in a comment. It can be anything you want, it can be good or bad, just so long as it happened. Then post this to your journal. See what people remember about you. Or not.

ETA: Of course, if you wanted to make something up, then I wouldn't mind:)

The time you and I travelled together to Khatmandu and found that even one bottle of wine, split between the two of us, will make us drunk at that altitude. We saw Everest, and were grateful not to be climbing it.

Great trip. I'll remember it all my life.

Me too.

That wine was rough but delicious and very intoxicating! I said you looked like a wombat and you said I looked just like guanaco. In the end we decided you were a platypus and I was a llama.

It has to be the Neil Gaiman signing. And the black silk boxers with orange pumpkins.

Oh, man. Neil Gaiman!

Where we going to buy those as a birthday present for him - I seem to remember it was his birthday that day, or near that time?

Louise has gone out of her way to cheer me up when I'm down, and memories of those moments really mean a lot to me.

I was inundated with Good Omens fic prior to its publication; sent cards and gifts; sent warm wishes; had interests shared.

There's been posts about her own life which have warmed me; photos of herself and her life, her home.

From a fannish-based beginning, many moments with Louise have developed into a sincere warmth and respect, and love. Louise is special to me, and I'm lucky to be able to include her in my life.

And, man... melamine! Louise rocks! *g*

One day, we'll get drunk together on vodka mudhshakes and other gloopy drinks and swop stories about our favourite melamine.

I keep reading your comments and feeling warm:)

^^ I remember you were among the first people to comment on a drabble I did in [livejournal.com profile] 100_roadtrips. It made me feel warm and fuzzy inside. I know it's a small thing to be recalling...

Not at all - if I made you feel warm and fuzzy then I'm damned pleased about that:)

You sent me the song "Wonder Woman" and I giggled to myself for hours. : )

I remember that! That song has to be the best antidote to boredom ever.

Out of the blue (however did you get my address?), you sent me a lovely Christmas card filled with glitter and accompanied by an equally lovely short fic. Ever since, I have been pondering how to do something equally nice for you. In vain, so far. :-) But just wait until next Christmas...

Hurray! *g* I'm thrilled you liked it. You don't have to do anything back, I enjoyed sending it for its own sake, really. But if you feel so inclined then I'm never averse to random Hakkai/Gojyo :D:D:D

As for the address, I'm pretty sure you filled in a 'put in your address and get a card' poll I did (so I hope you didn't think I was some sort of stalker!)

I remember one time you were talking about some sort of alcopop(mudshakes?)...which inspired me to track them down and Sainsbury's.

Oh, and then there was that little cafe in Vienna. Good times. ;)

I remember that day! You ate too much sachertorte and I drank too much coffee and we became convinced that the man sitting at the table next to in sunglasses was Crowley. And then we moved on to the brandy. I didn't mind being thrown out, in the end, but I'm sorry we never got Crowley's phone number.

Oven glove manufacturing? What have you learned, so far?

Memory of you: you write really good Saiyuki fic. And you have the most stunning naturally blue hair I have ever had the good fortune to brush. ;)

Oven glove manufacturing - 'tis a dark and mysterious art...

Squee - thanks, I'm really pleased you like my hair! No one believes it's natural. Well, at least not until... but that's probably TMI.

Really, really pleased you like my Saiyuki fic:)
