That wishlist meme
Nov. 30th, 2004 04:12 pmIt's going dark already outside and it's time to take a break from the Website of Doooom that I have spent all day fiddling with. Some of you may remember me referring to the website of doom, which loomed large in my work day learlier this year. It's better now, but still - uploading content for 5 hours turns my eyeballs inside out.
Anyway, the things you said in my Christmas card poll made me snigger:
foreverdirt, yes you were the only one. Fruit cake week is officially replacing Christmas from now on in my diary,
snowballjane, seeing as how I know so many like to eat them.
daegaer - it's what every girl wants in their stocking on Christmas eve! I shall do my best.
The poll is here if you'd like a card from me.
On the off-chance that someone is feeling incredibly generous:
10 things I want for Christmas (not in any order of preference)
1. Notebooks for writing on the train - one can never have too many.
2. A big crinkly cellophane-wrapped parcel of Clinique face gunk
3. English translation tankoubons of Saiyuki vols 6-9, Reload or Wild Adapter (although I don't think the last ones exist) or artbooks
4. Saiyuki anime, either or both series
5. Hakkai/Gojyo fic - yes, yes, yes!! (Can you tell that I like them?)
6. Fic in any of my fandoms
7. Saiyuki picspam
8. Icons
9. Shiny, sparkly things
10. Snow
Step One
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached.
If there is at least one person in your life whom you consider a close friend, and whom you would not have met without being part of an online fandom, post this sentence in your journal.

Oh, wow. Yes please!! *hugs*
::winks and presses finger to lips:: don't tell ;)
Date: 2004-12-16 02:24 am (UTC)"I'm clean." He curled his hand under and soothed the pucker with his thumb, and it shook, open, closed, around the tip. Gojyo's breath caught, just a little, and Hakkai shifted and he's right there when the whore's eyes skittered away from his and said, quietly, "Well, I'm not."
"I know." He replied, pushed in, and the redhead's neck arched back, eyes closed with the strain, hair puddled like blood beneath them. The both of them were gasping, Gojyo's body shaking under and around him, and Hakkai presses his mouth against the skin closest bit of skin he could find.
He tasted strangely sweet, like ash.
And Hakkai lets his body take over, mouth pressed hard to stop himself from sobbing, mind blank, just his body coiling tighter and more and faster to wrench those unwilling sounds from the throat beneath his toungue, like that, tight, and just--release. Like a high note. Blinding, but perhaps that's because his eyes were closed.
He opened them; skin was near his mouth, so he kissed it. The thighs around him were shaking and tense, so he slipped out and released his grip and let them fall as they will around him. He licked a collarbone and that felt nice. And his partner was still hard; he shifted so it lay in the join of his leg and started moving lazily, his hand floating down, now to swirl around the head, now to play with the slit, and he finally raised his head in lazy curiousity to watch Gojyo release those stutters of breath that he'd heard tremble beneath his ear.
And was struck frozen at Gojyo's expression, open and wet and flayed, Gojyo's body moving faster, a bit desperate, because his own had stilled above, his hand reflexively tightening around Gojyo who convulsed--and twisted towards him.
When he came it was like Hakkai woke up, and realized, He is beautiful.
Like she was, sang back his mind. And now he felt the sheets below him again, now heard the faint noises though the paper thin walls, and his stomach dropped out again, like there was a very large hole in his gut. He sat back, carefully, on his heels as his mind screamed at him again telling him he will never wake her up again or make their bed again or see her smile again or feel her hands again. He looked down at his own. One has a whitish ribbon that he licked up, thoughtfully. Salty.
He leaned down quickly and flattened his tongue to lick a wide swath through the come on the Gojyo's stomach before Gojyo snapped open his eyes and shoved him away.
"What are you doing? Do you have a deathw-- I told you. I told you!" The man looked betrayed.
Hakkai just gathered up his clothes, he thinks Gojyo is overreacting but who is he to judge on such things? The air sat empty around them and he wanted to fill words in but the words wouldn't come. Or perhaps too many of them would, if he starts, and he will say the wrong thing and he's a firm believer that things could always be made worse. So he is silent. He slips into his clothes silently and fingercombs his hair silently and silently makes his way to the door. He looks back.
Gojyo was staring at the far wall, leaning back with his weight on his hands. From the door, Hakkai could only see a slice of profile.
"I did tell you." It came nonchalant, and final.
"Yes." And Hakkai smiled, sunnily. "You did." He lets himself out, and left a tip on the counter in front.

I love that line -I can just picture it.
Thank you for letting me see this!
Re: ::winks and presses finger to lips:: don't tell ;)
Date: 2004-12-16 09:17 am (UTC)Hakkai's not quite right-- that he's falling apart and wants to die, and is using Gojyo to kill himself. Owwww
yupyup. =D
I realy feel for Gojyo, because he's being abandoned by someone who could love him.
::grins:: well. see. currently it's at ~1900 words, and that's just an outline. By the end of it I should have shoved them all through the other side, past defeating Gyuumao. This is going to be innnnteresting =D
