We hung out in London, then went to to York and spent time with many lovely and awesome people (you all know who you are. I won't list you as it would be a very long list). Oh, and we watched Garth Marenghi's Darkplace (I want my novels to ask questions. Questions like 'Can a rat drive a bus?'), which accounts for my new icon. Plus I think I have a crush on Matt Berry.
But it's not as big as my crush on BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH.
I love him. He's like the Sherlock Holmes I always wanted. I love that this Sherlock is a sociopathic mega-pedant who everyone thinks is a dick. Apart from Watson, who thinks he's a really interesting brilliant dick. Oh, and Lestrade. I realised that it's important to me that Lestrade is not a bumbling oaf. And that Mrs Hudson is intent on not being their housekeeper.
Sigh. I kind of don't even mind that there won't be any more episodes in the near future, although I hear that it's been renewed by the BBC. I'm just very happy and content with this re-imagining of the canon and all the fun it will (hopefully) afford in terms of fanfictions.
