Update on life
Apr. 21st, 2006 01:59 pmI have been on holiday this week and unfortunately it has coincided with me having a bad stomach for most of it, which, as of today, looks like it may have been some sort of mega extended pre menstrual gubbins. Bah, I say.
This afternoon, well, now, we're going on a healthy bicycle ride-- we've done two already this week, which is not bad going-- and then I'm going to buy myself some new spectacles, which I have been needing for a few years. The frames are Paul Smith ones - very smart and sort of oblong, in dark tortoisehell. I'm very excited about getting them, because my current glasses are scratched and broken and not fit to be worn out of the house.
Despite the feeling ill, or because of it, I managed to write about 7000 words of an AU of an AU I am writing with
emungere (looks wildly back to see if that sentence made any sense). Meanwhile in the Janitor story they are doing yet more sitting around, but as soon as I coax them forward there will be action and poisoning, hopefully, and weird sex. I have three more days of holiday left and plan to use them for evil good writing more porn finishing this story. Or possibly going camping.
I got Makoto Tateno's Yellow vol 3 in the post this morning and so much wanted it to be Antique Bakery instead. This volume was a bit of a let down, I found. Her plotting and character development is very weak and without that, even with the huge amounts of pretty, it's just not as fun.
