Friday ennui
Jan. 7th, 2005 03:21 pmNo bids yet on the old-fashioned sofa bed of doom.
Every time I pick up a pen it's with the intention of writing the story that I have come to think of as the Hakkai Fluff. Sadly, the pen always turns it into the Hakkai angst instead. Writing is being stymied by my being too tired to stay awake on the train home and also by M having bought Ripping Yarns on DVD. I'd forgotten that 'Across the Andes by Frog' had Denholm Elliot in it-- 'the frogs are restless tonight!' We also watched 'The Claw' and 'The Testing of Eric Olthwaite'. They're still funny and Michael Palin looks about 19, although he must've been at least 35 at the time.
Daytime reading today: Nic Revel by George Manville Fenn, 19thC kid lit writer extraordinare. Very extraordinare.
