After the end

Afterwards, the news programmes featured less war and pollution and famine, but, oddly, just as much death.

Aziraphale forgot to not sell books. Crowley forgot to loathe himself so much.

Life went on as before.

If there was more laughter and they chose to spend more time together, it wasn't mentioned. Crowley bought things for his flat and it became more homely, but they didn't speak of it. If the Arrangement took on new meanings, no one said anything.

If there was a change, it seemed as gradual as the rolling seasons, and neither remembered it being any other way.

Today was a spectacularly cringe-worthy and tension-filled day, where a colleague left us without a word of goodbye. God, it was AWFUL. He didn't speak, we didn't speak, there was just this hideous silence-filled chasm. He took our big potted plant, too, the  bastard.

But tomorrow I go to [livejournal.com profile] connotations!  This year we have an entire cocktail lounge to ourselves, so who knows what carnage will result. Anyway, am looking forward to it very much and to seeing everyone again, and at last I get to meet [livejournal.com profile] daegaer. *does happy meeting-daegaer dance*
