After a dream where all my teeth fell out, I woke feeling better about my disturbing fanfic experience of the day before. I think what bothered me was that I'm not used to being let down by endings. The last time I experienced something similar was when I read one of Stephen King's novels from his awful period in the 80's. The 'evil' person turned into a sinister pixie type thing, and his car turned into a pumpkin, then he flew away. It was bad but risible, because King hadn't engaged me at all in the story.

Things not to do with moaning about fanfic.
Yesterday was the first day of the hallowed John Lewis sale (for all those who don't know, John Lewis is one of those shops you can buy anything, from a ball of wool to a high-tech TV). They have proper bargains, and I got £120 worth of furnishing fabric for £32!

I have applied for another job, it's more money, but still nowhere near what I want to be doing with my life i.e. design related.
