(no subject)

Oh jesus, I had no idea moving could be so stressful. What have I got all this stuff for anyway? My hands are stained from wrapping things in newspaper.

Our new garden is enormous, and the back half is shoulder high in brambles. The front half isn't because I spent today hacking though them with my trusty loppers, raining death and destruction down on innocent plant-life, and finding a surprising number of pots and pans buried in the shrubbery.

Why I am not interested in celebrating the Jubilee/whining
I don't have any respect for the Monarchy. I'm sorry, but even though they do work hard at what they do, I think they should stop recieving chunks of taxpayers money to fund their lives. The Queen is fabulously wealthy. Many people in Britain are horribly poor. She should support herself and her family, and pay all that Inheritance Tax on the QM, like normal citizens have to. I'm not saying that that would solve all our problems, but it would make people feel better about the monarchy, who are after all just a nice, middle-class German family who came over here and settled down to life of being British Royals.

Goddam Queen. I could probably still be hung on Treason charges for saying that.
