Since my Mum as retired she's gone absolutely crazy over knitting, and spends a lot of time obsessing over really complicated patterns and shapes. Now who says women can't be just as geeky as men? I used to think that getting obsessive over stuff was the realm of men (having conveniently forgotten how many times I read Lord of the Rings). Then I discovered slash and boy, was I proved wrong. Slash is my football, or car, or skateboard. People could say that I just don't want to grow up, but I say: so what?
