I hate MS Office with fiery passion. I'm just sayin'. My ex-lecturer, who I'm writing a paper with, remembered that this paper's got to be in by next Friday, but he's going to be on holiday all next week and he hasn't finished it. Gnarg. It needs all manner of wanky formatting, including *insert much dullness about jpegs, Excel charts, Word, Photoshop and headdesking*. Sigh. I did think this weekend might be quite relaxing, but now it look as though I'll have to prat around with this. Hopefully I can get the bulk of it done tomorrow and Saturday.
I'm so sorry...

It wasn't for the lack of trying, though.
Crowley had been very pleased with Microsoft, and MS Office in particular. Aziraphale poked around the program, frowned, and suggested that maybe a little help was needed, to see the users through the needlessly complicated procedures.
The developer team came up with the Office Assistant.
It had been the angel's first and last foray into information technology.
He let Crowley have monopoly over it, and occasionally made him pay with disgustingly good deeds, especially if the demon had the nerve to mention "that little paperclip incident." Crowley still thought every last one of them was worth it.

Poor Aziraphale, saddled with the guilt of creating the Office Assistant. I'm sure Crowley thought it was worth it - even if he did have to pay with good deeds. That paperclip really is evil, especially when it taps on the screen at you. *shudders*
You wrote a little fic for me! Thank you! Write more? *g*

Date: 2004-03-23 02:48 pm (UTC)the saddest thing is that if I allowed my brain to take that path, some ideas would come up... but the very first mental image was of Crowley jumping three feet in the air and fleeing the room in horror...
today I realized that somehow Aziraphale must have been responsible for this and it has almost become a plot bunny... nooo, what have you done to me?!
