One last thing (I promise) about Virgin Trains and Bad Design: the announcer has to explain to people how to open the interconnecting doors between carriages. It's a door - it should be easy. But these doors confuse people. If that's not the mother of all bad interface design, I don't know what is.

But, Friday! And payday Friday, even better. I plan to buy a pretty new notebook from paperchase after work, write gay porn in it for an hour or so on the train, then take M out for food and booooooze.

Hee! Yes, as well as the Quiet Zone that they have there's also an Infernal Zone, filled with loud mobile phone conversations demons, personal stereos turned up to maximum volume demons, shouting crazy people who sit next to you demons and personal hygiene problem demons.

Mmmmm, the plan was excellent. I feel all rested and my new notebook has silver edges to the paper- I wrote yet more of the frottage fic in it!
