snowballjane, one from brandnewgun and a card, marvellous fic, mysterious parcel, postcards and beautiful bookmark from daegaer! Thank you so much! There was also a card from a long-lost college friend, which made me very happy too.
Now I have to wash and make myself look a bit more human because people are coming round for something I called 'festive drinks'. Okay, I'll have some fairy lights up and there's a vague chance I might mull some wine but that's about all I can manage right now.
I am now reading 'Mauritius Command'. Hms Surprise was wonderful, and I cannot rate the scenes with the sloth too highly.
