Back from Kent. The cementing was lots of fun. I made a rag-rug effect in the surface with all the bits of different coloured china, and then cast some clear resin blocks to go with them with dug-up cutlery and bits of plastic embedded in them. We ran out of time, but they should look nice and colourful all together in the cement.

On Saturday we nipped the new Tate and saw the big disc of glowing yellow that fills one end of the Turbine Hall. It's like looking at the world through a sweetie wrapper; it's very very yellow indeed. And clever too. The entire vast ceiling has been covered in glass (except I don't think it is glass but stretched polymer sheet with a reflective coating on it), and so creates all sorts of lovely effects, the main one being the crowds of people lying on their backs spelling out words like 'poo', and others doing elaborate Busby Berkely numbers lying on their backs.

But now I am very very tired and I have to organise myself for work tomorrow and my continuing battle with the forces of evil i.e. our website contractors. I may try and type up some fanfic later though.
