Bleurg x 100. I'm completely shattered. The trains! Tonight I was on the Hell Express, except it wasn't express at all. I had to stand up all the way home, nearly, and Chewing Gum Girl was popping away in my earhole. Chew, chew chew, snap. Chew, chew, snap. Chew, chew, chew, SNAP! It's been the same all week. Like sardines we were, 18 to a vestibule (not 'vestible', let me point out for the benefit of any Virgin train managers who may be reading). But it wasn't all bad. I talked to people on the train for the first time in ages. There was that 'we're all in this together' thing going on that the English seem to do so well. There was even a sing-song! Admittedly they were teenage girls singing hymns, but it was nice all the same. Aziraphale would've liked it.

Bad, naughty, wicked Louise. I spent quite some time at work this afternoon avoiding work by getting sucked into 'Old Gold' by our new fannish hero G Manville Fenn, thanks to the lovely daegaer, and brandnewgun. Everybody ejaculates all the time! I'll be keeping you updated with excerpts from this brave and insightful portrayal of 19th century same-sex marriage over the coming weekend.

Sir Humphrey Leigh (nickname; Vivian) is starting to get serious about Captain Banes...
