At the weekend I bought some Kings and Queens cedar shower gel. It's so gorgeous! I smell exactly like a cigar box, so manly and amazing.

There doesn't seem to be the matching body moisturising lotion available, so I can't 'layer'.

Oh and, hurray for the Large Hadron Collider and all who sail in her!

Ooh, the cedar! I was very tempted by that one I have to say. The honey one I got gets more and more honeyish every time I smell it - I'll be abducted by giant bees!

(That site is very manly itself).

This got me busily searching for cedar-scented body lotion, only to discover that there isn't any, at least not on web sites that I trust enough to rec to anyone.

I think Manly Men might lower themselves to using shower gel, but scented lotion is Right Out. In fact, I think the entire concept of lotion is a non-starter. I bought the Mr. some unscented lotion last winter because his legs get dry and itchy when the heat is on, and he just left it sitting on his nightstand, getting dustier and dustier .... .

Haha, I hear you there. Back in the day the Ex used to complain about dry skin, and I offered him simple aloe vera gel to help, but noooo, moisturizer isn't MANLY (but whining about your dry knees is? O.o).

If I were a man, I would be the smoothest, best-smelling man EVAR. XD

*bites the computer desk* Ahhh! My secret fetish for good smelling things. I bet they don't ship to the U.S., do they? ;_; The cedar sounds so lovely, as does the honey one, and the cinnamon orange....

This reminds me, it's time to buy more perfume from Garden Botanika. I'm all out of my custom fragrance.

*hysterics*
I am convinced that they just don't really hear themselves. (Neither the whining, nor its justifying.)
It is the only answer. :D

You are most likely correct. It's the only answer that makes SENSE, anyway. XD

Hee, I'm sitting here wondering the exact same thing =D

Giant beeeees. I should be careful if I were you! The honey one is tempting - maybe for winter. I can't you how beautiful the cedar one smells. I just want to stick my face in my flannel every morning.

Woe! But thanks for looking. :)

I think you've identified the problem here - it's supposed to be for manly men. They don't care about dry skin, clearly because skin with flakes and cracks is actually very manly.

Hahaha. It is SO manly to whine about your dry knees!

Oooh, a custom fragrance. *investigates Garden Botanika*

Did you go into an outlet to make it the first time, or did you do it online and hope for the best? It looks quite tricky to do without knowing all the scents.

I think they say they do do international orders, but you have to contact them direct. Sadly. Otherwise I can send you some. I'm really happy to do that. :)

Years ago they had a physical store in my local mall, so that's how I did it the first time. It was a lot easier to do when I could sample my own combinations (and they also used to let you pick more than three scents! Ah, well.) I'm lucky in that I have a knack for this sort of thing, though-- I can imagine scents vividly enough to know what they're potentially going to smell like together.

(My current favorite is an equal combination of Vanilla Musk, Pumpkin, and Spice. It's lovely for autumn.)

Thank you for the offer! I managed to find a brand in the US called Korres that has a cedar scented shower gel (and ooh, a mint tea scent, too). I'll probably try that one out ♥
