GIP! Sort of. This was made by the very shiny emungere. Hakkai is all about the umbrella fu, yeah... and he's always in a bad mood when it rains, so watch out.

Anyway, something marvellous and humane and sensible happened yesterday, and now civil partnerships are legal in the UK.

In other news, I stood in Reading Station for more than an hour this morning, waiting, but all the trains going north were cancelled due to a fatality on the line. Travelling all that way seemed pointless by about 9.30, so I'm back at home and still thinking about that giant swirly multicoloured lollipop that I never bought. On the way home I bought some shoes (oops) - black suede kitten heels with a round toe and a button - they're very cute.

Giant lollipops! They make the day better.

I almost accidentally bought some boots the other day - but they only had my size in boring beige and not in bright blood red, so I didn't. (And now I'm regretting passing up 45 euro boots, of course!)

Accidentally? Hee! I have visions of your bank card flinging itself at the cash till. Gah - you need the blood red boots though. Where were they from? Maybe I could get them in the UK for you?

Alas, it was a local little shop in Mullingar, and I can't remember the make fo the boots. No doubt my mother will have to go down again, and maybe they'll have new stock in (if she'd told me she'd probably have to go down again, I'd have ordered a pair in my size, grr). They were suede, lace-up to mid calf. And totally fur lined, so really warm!
