Good Food

Apparently I took my tights off along with my shoes and coat last night, because there they were this morning on the floor in the downstairs hall. The Good Food Show was brilliant. It was such an indulgent day, but so much fun - I'd recommend it, although it does get very very busy and you're in danger of spending a lot of money at the Food Lovers Market. But you do get a lot of food and drink for free-- I gorged on all kinds of cheese, drank chai, ate a harissa flat bread (warm. heavy, greasy, delicious),  watched the bread baking cookery theatre then got some free fresh baked bread slathered in cheese and basil, then ploughed into the wine and spirits hall where every stand had free tastings.  I dropped in at the Amaratto stand for a quick nip and found that they were selling large bottles for £9, which is a rel bargain. They're usually about £14 in the shops. Got the train back with about 700 other people, by this time feeling a little queasy and finished off the day with cocktails at Sahara and then a Pizza Express pizza, which had goats cheese and sundried tomatoes. More wine. We caved and broke open the amaretto on the way home.

Other things - [livejournal.com profile] daegaer, oops- I have just remembered I have still got your Weiss Kreuz dvds - I'll bung them in the post this afternoon.

I need to write various things, not least my Yuletide story. I keep telling myself I have ages and that just thinking about the story is importantpart of the process  too- letting the ideas percolate. Wrong - this is just an excuse for not writing.
