Rejoice! Today I blew the cobwebs from my River Cafe cookbook and made something. It was good - fennel, chillies and anchovies with taglietelle and rocket although I used ricotta whey cheese rather than ricotta salata, which is hard and dry. So it was creamier than intended, but still very tasty and best of all (apart from the cheese) all the ingredients were freely available in the small market town of Reading.   

Tonight I'm having a mini anime fest because its been piling up on my desk and giving me hard stares for weeks and months. Lined up to sample I have: Get Backers, Samurai Seven, X, Hellsing and Saint Seiya. By the way, cygny - thanks so much for the rest of Kyou Kara Maou, it got here a last week and I've been wanting to spend some quality time with those strange g-string wearing Germans ever since.

Oooh, episode one of Samurai Seven is subtitled Slash!  That's what I like to see, no messin'.
