daegaer -  I have put various things in a box and posted them to you, so you should get them next week sometime.  It was the big organised thing of the day, along with paying the phone bill and buying some winter tights (100 denier cotton-rich from John Lewis - substantial. You know where you are with tights like that). For those in the UK and with money to burn, there were cashmere and silk blend tights on the same rack, surely a bargain at £25). No, I didn't get any.

shezan has posted some of Prokudin-Gorskii's colour photos of Russia, taken in the years immediately before the revolution, here. They're very high quality and so vivid that in some of them you feel you could step right in to the scene. The whole collection is online at the Library of Congress. A manga that manages to be utterly filthy, yet sweet and charming at the same time, over at yaoi_daily.  A very nice trick if you can manage it, and I'm not just referring to the posi... oh never mind. You have to be a member of the community to view the post.
