Jul. 20th, 2004 04:32 pmBig squee!
daegaer sent me the big book o' angels! Thank you! ... even though you won't see this. Felt the need to say it anyway. I feel a big icon-making phase coming on.
But the funny thing is, a few days before I got Daegaer's present, I was flicking through the very same book and wondering if she'd like it. I'd just spent 20 quid on postcards though (well, it was the National Gallery) and put it back on the shelf. It's full of the world's best angels - boogieing, holding hands, smiting serpents, reading books ... eating sushi ...
Talking of which, I haven't forgotten the postcards, people! They're on their way.
As a point of interest, who else thinks that the Knight2King theory is plausible? I know I'm a bit behind the times on this, but I'd be interested to know what people make of it. I've read it through twice now, and while some parts don't really seem to hang together too well, some other aspects fit; the physical similarities between DD and Ron (and things like the socks and the odd scar on DD's left leg), the way that DD knowing the outcome of Harry's school adventures would explain his apparently irresponsible behaviour, and the way that the chess moves fit to some extent the action of the 5 books, especially the Sirius/Bellatrix white-queen-takes-black-knight move.
