Ruby slippers and Firefly
Jul. 10th, 2004 10:57 amI got new shoes! It took me ages to decide which colour. About three months actually, and the silver ones look pretty too. But if I was going to get silver ones, I think I'd go for the sequinned ones - impratical, silly and mmm, shiny! They're incredibly comfortable too, with sort of a padded liner and very soft leather. I haven't had a pair of red shoes since I was little and my mum got me a pair red boots from a jumble sale. I remember being obssessed with those boots, imagining I was a princess in a fairy story. Y'know, one of those princesses that wore red boots.

I've mostly been watching and rewatching Firefly this week, thinking about who's the slashiest. It just keeps getting better and better- defintely a slow burner. Slash wise I can see Jayne/Simon and maybe Mal/Simon, although it's patently obvious Mal's got a thing for Inara. But perhaps - Mal does keep him around after all, and do they need a doctor that much? Well maybe, but a doctor who's a fugitive and a threat to everyone's safety? I'd put Mal letting Simon and River stay down to his hatred of the Alliance, his not-so-secretly-hidden heart of gold and well, yes, if I wanted to, some unspoken attraction. After all, Mal did say to Nandi that he 'tended towards womenfolk', not he 'only liked womenfolk'. Hee. Okay, some straw grasping on my part there, but not that much, I think.
