Empire fun factoids
Feb. 3rd, 2004 08:56 pmEmpire readers, are you all crazy? Attack of the Clones was at least 40 places higher than Annie Hall in the 100 best films vote this year! Unbelievable. Lord of the Rings was at 1, 3 and 7, intermingled in the top ten with Star Wars 4 and 5, Jaws, Pulp Fiction, Shawshank Redemption, The Godfather and Fight Club. Of those, LotR trilogy and The Shawshank Redemption would stay there. No way is Fight Club better than Alien! *gently foams for a minute*
Mike Newell is directing the Goblet of Fire, and he says he's going to make it as one film. Thank god. Splitting it into two would be a big mistake, because you'd have to have one film that was mostly a quidditch match and then no one would want to watch it. Newell says he's wants to give it an 'unexpected tone'. Seeing as how he goes onto say he's been watching a lot of 'paranoid thrillers', I think we can guess. Conspiracy theories, anyone? Where's Mulder when you need him.
