Sunny Tuesday
Oct. 14th, 2003 11:14 amI got home late last night, and got here early this morning- I think I'll start sleeping under the desk. But it's sunny and warm and I'm in a good mood, and I have it on good authority that there is an unread (by me) Sherlock Holmes slash novel just put up on the web.
Factoid
Unrelated in any way to anything, except possibly my job, the term 'carat' comes from 'carob'. Carob beans are apparently of an extremely uniform weight, roughly 1/5th of a gram, which made them ideal for ancient gem traders. I've no idea if a one carat diamond these days still weighs the equivalent of one carob seed though.
And, ( oh, I am distraught! )
