Weekend

Mmm, the weekend is nearly here, and I'm off tomorrow. Well technically I'm supposed to be doing *some* work, but I'll have to fit it around the doctor's in the morning for various unpleasant pokings. In the afternoon I'll be packing my bag for Connotations, which I'm really looking forward to. The con that is, not the packing. I must remember to do laundry tonight, otherwise it'll be shabbywear, and we don't want that. I plan to get to the con about 6.30ish, so will have to set off from Reading about 3 pm. It takes about 2.5 hours to get to Nottingham, but then I've got to find my hotel, check in and then find the Balmoral, and all that might take a while. I'm assured the Rufford is only five minutes round the corner, but I forgot to ask if that was five minutes walking or driving.

I watched Teachers last night and indulged in my weekly leching over James Lance, who plays Matt, and is very sexy. I got carried away enough to look him up on google, and found out where it is I've seen him before, as this has been nagging at me: he played one of the Travel Tavern staff in 'I'm Alan Partridge'.

I do like Teachers. It has a nice, slashy vibe to it, and it's very funny. I was inspired enough to start a Matt/Simon story this morning on the train, but that was partly due to the 40 minutes we had to sit on the tracks outside Birmingham because some of the platforms were broken or something. I wonder if there's any other Teachers slash anywhere. I'm kind of guessing that there isn't.
