Excitement!
Aug. 19th, 2003 04:28 pmOur vacuum cleaner just exploded! Its little plastic body was glowing red from the inside. From the sound of things, M is now dismantling it in the kitchen. Funny that it's done this just after the years guarantee ran out. Quite clearly this is the devil's work. Crowley, where are you?
Speaking of him, I'm feeling all warm and fizzy, or even fuzzy, because the wonderful
daegaer, wrote this for me.
After the hospital, which was a breeze compared to last time as they didn't actually have to fetch the colposcope, I realised I had a sunny Tuesday in which to do whatever I liked. So we went and picked some mulberries from the tree in Eldon square (the best-tasting fruit ever), and then went to the second-hand shops and bought books. I got The Vagina Monologues, quite fitting really, everything considered. American Psycho, which might make me feel sick. Spanky, by Christopher Fowler which has an appalling cover but is about a fallen angel who tries to steal someone's life, so I'm intrigued, and How to be Good, by Nick Hornby, because I read High Fidelity this week and loved it.
M bought *another* new bag, and I got some new t-shirts from cheap t-shirt heaven, H&M. And then home for chocolate cake. *drools*
