In other, only slightly less miserable news, Reading is on flood warnings. Already this morning the pavements were flooding on the Oxford Road, due to the drains being full from the last lot of rain.
But, let's not be overcome with glumness. It's my nature to plunge head first into some escapist activity whenever things get bad, so I bought series three of Buffy yesterday. I don't remember any of it in detail, just that it has Faith in, and the Mayor, and the secret return of Angel. It seems a little flat so far, after the fastful heights of series two, but I'm more than willing to sit and watch it obsessively anyway.
